Chris Szpilka

Chris is a graduate research assistant at the University of Oklahoma; however, she is spending her final year at home in Helena, Montana. She had a baby, Christopher Andrew Szpilka, on August 25, 2003. Please enjoy these pictures of young Christopher.

Research Interests:

Chris's research focuses on the following areas:
  • numerical methods in water resources;
  • hydrodynamic models;
  • environmental applications;
  • transport;
  • and algorithm development.
She has authored three journal articles and a number of conference presentations and proceedings. Her work has appeared in Advances in Water Resources and the Journal of Contaminant Hydrology.

She has team-taught a class in numerical methods. She has also been a teaching assistant for classes in water quality management and environmental modeling.
